With a solid background in coin grading expertise that includes a life membership with The American Numismatic Association (ANA), since 1985, Mr. Don Bonser is globally recognized for his exceptional knowledge and his ability to instill passion in the world of numismatics.
Mr. Bonser has won many awards for his articles about coins which are featured in a variety of publications. He began his career in numismatics with an internship from The American Numismatic Association (ANA) located in Colorado Springs. After completing his internship, he spent an additional five years at the ANA as a coin authenticator/grader for their certification service (ANACS). The ANA offers several paths to learning how to grade different coins, including Mr. Bonser's correspondence course entitled, "Grading Coins Today."
Mr. Bonser's extensive experience also includes having graded coins for a professional coin grading service, and for over fifteen years he has authored the well-read column, "The Collector's Edge," published in the ANA's monthly journal, The Numismatist.
He continues to donate his time to teach the popular consumer protection course "U.S. Coin Grading" at the ANA's Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs each July, as he has since 1989.
Mr. Bonser believes that his company's nationwide reputation for paying the fairest prices and the ability to write good checks, instantly, for any collection, no matter how large, has kept the company ahead of the majority of dealers throughout the country.
